United Voices for Children: Speaking and Acting on Behalf of Troubled and Needy Children and Youth

Get Involved: Help Children & Youth

United Voices for Children has many opportunities to join the One Voice for Children.

Participate in the 5th Sunday Appeal Offering

Financial Support for United Voices for Children is made through 5th Sunday Appeal congregational offerings. On months that have five Sundays, participating churches will designate a Special Offering for United Voices for Children on the 5th Sunday.

The 5th Sunday Appeal provides much-needed financial resources for the four child serving agencies in the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church: ChildServ, Marcy-Newberry Association, Methodist Youth Services and the Rosecrance Health Network.

To participate in the 5th Sunday Appeal, contact Debbie Rogers @ (630) 355-1834 or email umvoices4kids@yahoo.com.

Get Your Church Involved

There are many simple things that congregations can do to encourage ministry that makes a difference for children and youth. Churches can become advocates for all children & youth, become more child-friendly and youth-friendly, practice Safe Sanctuaries, develop parent support activities and start new programs for children & youth.

Share Your Stories

We are encouraged and inspired when we hear of how others have become voices for children & youth. We'd like to publish accounts on our website of the many ways you see people and churches making a difference in the lives of children and youth in Northern Illinois.

Help us share your stories! Send them to Debbie Rogers, c/o Wesley United Methodist Church, 21 E. Franklin Avenue, Naperville, IL 60540, or e-mail to umvoices4kids@yahoo.com.
